Who We Are

At Poppy Lane, we look for strength and resilience through creativity, beauty, and the pursuit of caffeinated happiness. We value delight, freshly baked challah, and occasional wordplay. We are also adamantly anti-antisemitism and pro-tzedakah.

As a Jewish and women-owned business, supporting other Jewish and women-owned businesses is in our DNA. In addition to our original designs, we feature talented Jewish and Israeli artists who share our vision for creating a vibrant, beautiful world.

My husband and daughter at the California Poppy Reserve

Our Story Began When…

… a global pandemic shut the world down. Six weeks into sheltering at home, our family took a trip to the California Poppy Reserve to celebrate our daughter’s second birthday. She called it “Poppy Lane”.

About Me

Hi. I’m Dena Beth Karsenty (she/her). I faced a cancer diagnosis, facilitated remote learning for two children, and worked full-time during the COVID-19 pandemic. (Zero stars. Do not recommend.)

Following this life-altering moment, I’ve spent my time in “rediscovery” and getting back to basics: family, baseball, Judaism, The Beatles, and — most of all — tzedakah.

My mission at Poppy Lane is simple: Live vibrantly. Give authentically.

Let’s Create Pretty Things

We are actively collaborating with various organizations and artists to create exclusive collections. I’d love to work with you, too.
